We meet for our main club meetings on the first Tuesday of every month in the Ancrum village hall

Additionally we run Technical sessions on the third Tuesday of every month.

Our season runs from September to May so that we cover the darker nights.

Meetings run from 7.30 to 9.00pm (ish!). We normally have some form of presentation, followed by a look at what is visible for the coming month and of course, if it’s clear, we will always go outside to see what we can see.

Presentations can cover anything from articles that have been in the news, general astronomical topics or a closer look at telescopes and astronomical equipment.

Don’t worry if you are a beginner, many of our members are. We always try to discuss things in terms that people can understand. And if you are an experienced observer then we would be delighted to share in your knowledge and skills.
